Training is conducted accordance with Texas State Law by Instructor Eric Dockery. Eric is certified by the Texas Department of Public Safety as an Instructor capable of certifying that you have earned the skills and training needed to obtain your CHL/License To Carry. Eric is well qualified as a SWAT Operator for a North Texas Police Department. Eric trains and competes in shooting competitions on a Local, State, National and International level.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) administers the Concealed Handgun Licensing (CHL) Program under the authority of the Texas Government Code Chapter 411, Subchapter H. DPS licenses individuals to carry concealed handguns within Texas, evaluates the eligibility of applicants through criminal history background checks and monitors those currently licensed to ensure their continued eligibility. DPS also trains and certifies instructors who teach the required course to applicants.
All Original CHL applicants are required to submit fingerprints to DPS as part of the complete CHL application.
Renewal Applicant Fingerprint & Photo Requirements
CHL renewal applicants are not required to submit fingerprints or photos. We will utilize the existing photo and will resubmit the fingerprints on file.

License to Carry Certification Course
This is the certification course for new LTC Licensing.
LTC Recertification
You no longer have to requalify. See DPS website for details.
Handgun 101:
This is a must need for beginning shooters.
Advanced Pistol:
For those that are confident shooters, but ready to step up their game.
Carbine Class:
Introduction to the proper shooting tactics with the M4 rifle.
Pistol/Carbine:
Must complete a handgun 101 course and experience on M4 rifle/carbine to attend. This class is for advanced shooters.
Precision Long Rifle Classes/Advanced Long Rifle:
For the Hunter or for the shooter that wants to learn how to use your rifle along with optics correctly with accuracy
Tactical Field Trauma Course:
Attend this training to properly learn how to use tourniquets and wound care techniques. Class is taught by SWAT Tactical Medics
